American Names Society Journal goes Open Access

Good news for those interested in onomastics, - Names, the journal of the American Names Society, is moving to free online access in 2021.


Very broad in scope, the focus tends to more on naming within an anthropological and literary context than explicitly historical. Even so, the theoretical insights here are extremely interesting. Indeed, a more modern focus makes the articles more readable for the average audience, without requiring extensive background historical knowledge.
